Charlie has a diverse background in communications and experience navigating a number of high-profile issues in the business sector.
Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Charlie managed media and corporate affairs at the SCG Trust and later Venues NSW, where he was integrally involved in the $730m Sydney Football Stadium rebuild and the challenges faced by the live entertainment industry during COVID-19 lockdowns.
He also had stints overseas with global design firm Populous, working on the Super Bowl operations team responsible for delivering events in Atlanta and Miami on behalf of the National Football League.
Charlie’s broad industry experience led him to SEC Newgate where he now provides strategic advice to clients with a focus on financial communications, corporate positioning and reputation management.
Recently, he has worked closely with Google and Uber on external issues, and with the firm’s transactions team to develop communications strategies for major acquisitions across private and public markets.
Charlie holds degrees in arts, journalism and management.
