Sam is an experienced communications consultant with an extensive track record in corporate and public affairs across the infrastructure, resources, property, tourism and sport sectors.
Sam’s expertise covers strategic communications, government relations, stakeholder engagement and issues management for public and private sector projects.
This has seen him develop and implement strategies for a diverse range of clients, including ANZ Stadium, NSW Treasury, Laing O’Rourke, Australian Turf Club and the Federal Government.
Many of these projects have been high profile, complex and controversial, requiring a high degree of sensitivity and an ability to effectively manage reputational risk.
Sam also has considerable experience working for and with government agencies, at a state and federal level, including in a number of secondment positions working closely with clients and other advisers.
Recently, Sam spent a number of months working in house with Laing O’Rourke, providing communications and engagement support for the NSW bushfire clean-up project. Sam spent time on the ground in regional communities across NSW, forging a number of strong relationships with media and local governments in country areas.
Sam holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science and Media Communication (University of Canterbury, NZ) and a Masters in Professional Communication (University of Sydney).
